Pros: Two great tools in one. Very affordable for anyone intersted in tools.
Cons: Not lithium ion batteries
The Bottom Line: Get yourself to the store and buy this combo before you can't get anymore. My neighbor liked them so much he bought five. They are great tools.

Finally Dewalt has put together a good cheap package. The Dewalt DC2PAKCA Heavy Duty Xrp 18V Cordless Hammerdrill / Reciprocating Saw Combo Kit. It comes with a drill and recirocating saw. These are the two battery operated tools i use most. I almost had to buy like a 5 pack to get both of them but now we got it right here in our hands. Plus it is way cheap the saw almost is free when compared to just the price of the drill. I use them mostly around my house doing small little jobs but there is nothing like a dewalt power tool when you need to get something done. I do have to say i can't wait until they put their lithium ion batteries in the 18 volt stuff. Still thought the batteries last a long time.
Last summer I used my drill to put on a metal roof. I compared it to the lithium ion makita. The makita couldn't even keep up it was haveing the hardest time to start the screws. The battery life was good but it just didn't compare to the dewalt.
A couple of reasons why I choose Dewalts package.
The drill and saw
1) The two most used tools by me. I am needing to drill in something or cut something. These two tools can complete any task you put in front of it. Just stand back and let it do its job. I really enjoy the traveling pack so it allows you to keep them safe in the back of the truck with everything else.
2) A lot of batteries around
I was on a job near my house doing metal roofs. Well I was out of batteries with no charger. I went and talked to another worker that was doing work on the inside of the house. He too had dewalt tools and i barrowed one of his batteries to finish my job. Everyone has an 18 volt dewalt battery, who works with wood or other materials.
3) The cost
I mentioned earlier that they pretty much give you the saw for buying a drill. I almost just bought the drill until I saw it was not much more to get a second tool. There was no question to me which tool that would be because I hae to barrow my brothers before this time. The cost is very minimal when it comes right down to it. You can get your money out of this buy I know i sure have.
Wrapping it up
I have been so pleased with my Dewalt tools. they have served me well through many capacities of work. Ranging from all steps to building houses, barns, and just work around the farm. These tools get their work out because it seems lately I have been using them in the bad weather. Still i never worry about them I just know they are going to start up and I won't have to run to the store to buy another cheap tool becuse it keeps breaking the same cheap one.
If you want my advice go buy this combo you will be suprised at the jobs you can handle with it.
