In my search for Home Audio Denon has always had a good name and has been recomended by friends and audio buffs. I needed to update my home theater so I went shopping. I was told by my sales person that for the money I would be happier with the Denon rather than the other brands. I looked at Sony, JVC, Pioneer and some others. The Denon had the features I was looking for and had the recomendation of quality sound and performance. My neighbor has a Denon and thinks its the best ever, (and he is real picky). So I bit the bullet and bought the Denon AVR-1802. It took me a while to figure out the set up, but I noticed a remarkable differance. The sound was clear and crisp with a deep bass. The amp allows alot of adjustments to your room size and speaker size. It is such an improvement over my old amp. It has Digital Optical Outputs, Front Panel Inputs as well as Dolby Digital, Pro Logic II, and DTS.
