I decided to purchase a Nomad64 awhile ago, to keep up with the MP3 revolution. Right out of the box, it was a pain to set up. The software included with the Nomad64 is extremely buggy, and the updates for the web site didn't help much either. It kept on telling me that the Nomad was not turned on, when it was turned on. Therefore it couldn't connect and I couldn't listen to music.
Now, most MP3 companies make the claim, "If you drop it, it won't skip because there are no moving parts!" However, I "accidently" dropped it a few times and every single time it dropped, it reset itself. The only way to get it back to normal was to remove the batteries and then replace them.
On the other hand, the features are great. The voice recorder is great for use in class to record a professor's lecture. The radio is nice if you want to listen to something else. And overall the design of the Nomad is very nice. It is small and lightweight. However, what good is design, if you can't transfer songs to it.
I do not recommend this product. Go for a Rio or a Nomad II.
