I've run the town's Little League Concessions program for several years now and the one thing I've learned in working with food and children is that it's never clean enough! Clorox disinfecting wipes help with that.
These wipes are great. There are 35 in a container, with a pull-through plastic lid similar to that on baby wipes. The container's lid snaps down tightly, keeping the disinfecting cleaner inside nice and wet. That's a big plus.
The wipes are permeated with famed Clorox bleach, so they clean and kill germs all at the same time. They are thicker than your typical paper towel, and are made of some kind of spun fabric, so they don't tear or rip easily, and hold up to intense scrubbing. I don't mean the scrubbing that Bounty towels shows on the commercials, but REAL scrubbing. Wrap a screwdriver with a wipe and shove it into tiny corners kind of scrubing. They hold up, clean very well, and of course, kill lots of germs. Killing germs is a necessity when it comes to food service.
The smell of these wipes is very fresh and clean, no pun intended. They almost smell like sheets after they've been washed and hung outside on the clothesline to dry. The scent is crisp and refreshing and not like traditional Clorox at all. I really enjoy using Clorox disinfecting wipes because of the smell.
The only thing I don't like about them, and I get by it by using gloves, is that the cleaner on the wipes is kind of slimy, like the feel of Clorox on your hands. It isn't bad, and doesn't last through a good rinse of the hands in the sink, but some people might be turned off by that.
A box (carton, jug? Whatever) of 35 wipes is about $4.50 at my local dollar store and you can get packages of several boxes together at Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, or Costco, as well, and even get them cheaper than that.
For the peace of mind of having truly clean counters, hands, fridge, and Nacho machine, I only trust Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, Fresh Scent.
