Over the years we have purchased a number of baking/cookie sheets ... and all have become warped, peeled, bent or destroyed in some manner or fashion. Since we use this type of product a lot, we decided to stop purchasing whatever was inexpensive and instead look for something durable.
We thought of Calphalon first, because we own a good number of products from this company, and they are highly respected in this house. We found the Calphalon Kitchen Essentials Baking Sheets in the 12 x 17 inch size for around $18 each.

We use baking sheets for a lot of different things - and I'd say they are one of the most used items we put in our stove. (that's why we purchased two of them) We felt the 12 x 17 inch size was the perfect fit for our growing family. (we are now a family feeding 5) We use the Calphalon Kitchen Essentials Baking Sheets for making cookies, and it holds a full package of pre-cut, already shaped 12 cookies. Some of our main uses for these baking sheets though are for frozen items we are heating up for the kids. French fries, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, and more all cook evenly and are safe using these sheets. Healthier options have included making our own potato wedges and fries!
We have had our Calphalon Kitchen Essentials Baking Sheets for a few years now, and they still perform great. Yes, they do look used, and they've lost that beautiful and shiny look. But there is no flaking or peeling. There is no bent sections or warping. These sheets are just as strong and durable as when we first purchased them!
Our Calphalon Kitchen Essentials Baking Sheets are pretty heavy, due to the material they are made out of. They are not something I would give to the kids to use or hold (then again, why would they be cooking?) but they are not so heavy that I cannot use them alone. I just notice their weight because I often think when I am drying them that they could "do some damage" if I dropped one or hit them against something. Speaking of cleaning, we always hand wash these. (we don't own a dishwasher) Some times they require a good scrubbing and more than just the kitchen sponge, but we have a heavy duty scrubber brush for these types of jobs.
All in all we are very pleased with our purchase of two Calphalon Kitchen Essentials Baking Sheets they are a product we'd highly recommend and purchase for others.
