grayjessie's Full Review: Burt's Bees Burts Bees Herbal Blemish Stick
I've had acne ever since 4th. grade. Basically, my Mom told me she had bad acne, so I'd have bad acne. Over the years, I tried several different products to get rid of acne: perscription medicines, toners, masks, creams, face wash, spot-on treatments, ect. None seemed to work long term.
So one day, when I was at the local health food store, I asked the lady who worked there if they sold any type of acne products. I honestly was getting sick of wasting my money on acne stuff that didn't work. She took me over to an asile all while explaining to me that my acne could be an imbalance in my body. She handed me a bottle of homeopathic pills, a bar of tomato soap, and this tiny box that said "Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish Stick". As I was paying for everything, she told me that using all 3 of these products should reduce the amount of pimples I had.
When I got home, I looked at the products I had bought. The one that I tried out first was the blemish stick.
Before I go any further, here's a list of the ingredients in the herbal blemish stick:
SD alcohol 40-B (from yellow corn)
calendula flower oil
borrage seed oil
yarrow oil
parsley seed extract
willow bark extract
lemon oil
fennel oil
water
tea tree leaf oil
juniperus communis fruit oil
eucalyptus globulus leaf oil
Now, you may be thinking that with all this oil, it would cause worse acne, but I have oily skin and it didn't bother it one bit.
I used the herbal blemih stick that night and saw a reduction in redness on my pimples the next morning. After a week of using it several times a day, my small pimples were almost gone and the larger ones didn't hurt as bad. I also liked the small roll-on applicator because it made application easier and it fit in my bag easily.
There was only 3 things I didn't like about this product. First of all, its pricey. For the 4ml container I bought, it was six dollars! I've seen it cost more in other stores. Second, it has a pretty strong scent to it, because of all the herbs used to make it. People who are sensitive to strong fragrances might not like the herbal blemish stick. Third, the herbal blemish stick doesn't work good on large pimples. All it did for me was made larger pimples less painful and red.
Other than these three minor problems, Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish stick is a good product for natural pimple healing.
I bought the blemish stick at a local health food store, but I have seen it sold in several other stores including Target, Walgreens, Fred Meyer, Albertsons, and various Food Co-Ops. Its also sold on many online stores.
Overall, Burt's Bees Herbal Blemish Stick is a good product for anyone suffering from acne. I highly recommend it!
