Pros: Lively ambiance and food to die for, superb view, great customer service and lots to eat or too much to eat
Cons: Please don't go there on holidays...why? Too crowded...(I accepted the 30-minute wait) I had a ball of a time...Don't worry...it will be worth it...

I challenge to go to Pier 39 without going to or dropping by Bubba Gumps'. If you are a tourist in San Francisco, you must ask your hotel manager or anybody for that matter about this place. Bubba Gumps' is located right on Pier 39. It is upstairs between Yet Wa....and Dante's. You are poised for a lifetime experience. I like going there during the week nights. Whenever I am around, I drop by on week-ends to see the faces of the crowds waiting in line. To my amazement, nobody cares about spending time. The customers either sit around or just hang out in the store. As soon as you get in, contact the receptionist. She will tell you how long you have to wait. It is about 30 minutes. While you wait inside, you will have the opportunity to reminisce about the movie that started the whole thing. Forrest Gump. The walls are filled with memorabilia. Your time won't be spent in vain.
Bubba Gumps has the ultimate seafood you have always wanted. Mahi Mahi is too yummy for me! Believe me, I had my share of fish, burgers and salad in front of a spectacular view. Most importantly, I enjoyed the company. If you tell me you fell asleep over your meals, I will ask you how you did it. Despite all, this is where I somewhat disagreed with my wife. She did not like the ambiance. It was too much for her to bear. If our children can't have fun in a place, she does not like that place. It was too lively a place for my daughter who had some hard time understanding why all these people were so noisy. So guess what? I had to find another restaurant that was more appropriate for little kids. Even though I wanted to be there badly, I had to bid farewell! However, my wife just loved the store nearby. She may have emptied her wallet there! She can't avoid buying souvenirs to send to her friends. Each time she goes in there, she finds something new she likes. She is a shopping expert!
If you are in the mood for superb seafood, Bubba Gumps' is the place for you. The service is great. Don't worry about parking! Public parking is nearby. (Keep in mind that finding a good parking spot is as precious as diamond in San Francisco!) When you buy $20.00 worth of food, you can have your receipt sealed by the restaurant for a discount. You will end having free parking. All the major credit cards are accepted. If you are part of a large group, don't worry yet; the restaurant can handle 250 customers.
