| kat_k1's Full Review: Britax Huskyim Youth Car Seat - Funky Den |
We had just gotten the Regent for my oldest and were going to get a second for my younger son.
At the time, the Regent had just come out and the Husky was being discontinued. I became aware of a great sale on them at babylove.com so we ordered one as the manufacture date was comparable.
This seat is great. The cover is soft and well padded, the entire seatback is covered in eps foam for protection.
It installed like a dream with the long beltpath, short beltpath, or latch.
I used the recline bar to give my then 4yr old recline for when he slept.
I was amazed at how big it is, but now that my son is 5.5yrs old, I'm glad it is so big.
When we got it, he was using the second slots. He is now JUST over the third slots, so using the top ones.
The top slots are 21" tall, so even though he's outgrown the less expensive seats that harnessed past 40lbs, he can still use this one.
it is for children 22-80lbs over 1yr old, so I know he will outgrow it in height before weight, but he's about 50lbs right now, so he also needed something to harness him longer.
This is the perfect seat for keeping a child harnessed as long as humanly possible.
