Opinion Summary
The Black and Decker 6.5A mower and the spiritual calm of a freshly mowed lawn
by pageclot | Sep 21 '01
Pros: Cuts grass. With optional mulching attachment, cuts it so well you'll think it magical
Cons: Fixed handle necessitates a lot of turning. Height adjustability requires wrench.

Before my purchase, this review told me everything I needed to know. Afterward, it mirrored my own experience.

You can't ask for more.

Our vacuuming experience is further enhanced because we have to use one foot to keep the small child from putting his fingers in the beater bar attachment.

Thanks for the tip on the extension cord/vestigial lawnmower cord attachment. It's a trick I use, but I forgot to include it.

Best,

Thank you, Robin!

The seasons changing and all, I'll have to find another garden tool to use to get that sense of spiritual calm during the winter.

Did ya know that your description of the push with one hand, manuever cord with the other, is almost identical to pushing a vacuum cleaner around the house? For real!

Anyhow, if you take the vestigal cord and, using the extention cord, tie a loose knot before hooking them up, the connection lasts longer. Learned that while stringing xmas lights...

Excellent review! Enjoyed it very much.

:D

Lynne - who hit preview and was swarmed with yellow highlights. I know I can't spell. And now everyone else knows this as well. ;-)

What a perfect niche for a company that values marketing more than useful products.

Thanks for stopping by, ST.

I think Microsoft should get into the design and production aspects of the cereal box prize market.

With all the early product reviews I did on epinions, you might say I'm "getting back to my roots", by reviewing a lawn mower.

nyuk nyuk.

Thanks for the kind words.

A review on mowers that actually entertains! Something I never thought I'd see in this lifetime, or indeed, any other lifetimes. I like your style!
