Ummm...Cascade hops :-)

The first time I tried Anchor Liberty Ale was in a study session for the Beer Judge Certification Program in 1994. I was leading the study session and heard many good things about this ale so I picked up a six pack and brought it to the next session. I remember smelling the powerful Cascade hop aroma as soon as the guy next to me popped the cap off. The Cascade hops provide this ale with a very refreshing floral/citrusy flavor. Malt is evident in the taste but the balance is definitely on the hoppy side.

This ale is a perfect example of an American Pale Ale with a strong Cascade hop aroma and flavor.
