Pros: comfortable to wear, reasonably clear sound
Cons: Cordless is not yet a perfect replacement for corded headphones.
The Bottom Line: In short, I got what I wanted. I did not get a substitute for technophile quality -- ie. corded -- headsets, though.

After reviewing the Epinions on this product I purchased it from Best Buy. (Needless to say the epinions were more helpful than the sales people there.) Basically I needed it for listening to music on headphones at my desk, which is too far from my dish network receiver. The quality of the reception is like that which one would expect from listening to an FM radio station on headphones (as opposed to the CD/Digital quality signal that comes over my stereo speakers--which are hooked into my satellite receiver). Thus, the quality of the sound is somewhere between "very good" and "excellent."
I also hope to use this device when I'm training on my indoor bicycle at odd hours and my wife wants to sleep. I can still watch and listen to videos/news, etc. while minimizing sleep disturbance to my better half.
In short, I got what I wanted. I did not get a substitute for technophile quality -- ie. corded -- headsets, though.
UPDATE 12/2/02: this device has worked great for my winter cycling workouts. I sweat up a storm w/ the headphones on, but they've not been compromised yet. My wife is happy w/ the noise reduction. The quality of the sound has held up and is more than adequate.
