rosier123's Full Review: Robert Louis Stevenson and Margaret Campbell Hoope...
These poems should be read to all children when they are very young. And they are still a pleasure to read long after they were first created.
Who would have thought that the author of Dr.Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, as well as Treasure Island, could write such sensitive poetry for small children. At any rate, he does so beautifully. With a sincerity and unique child like quality.
One of my favorite volumes of poetry for children.
Many of his poems reflect a simple beauty and innocence. They are worth reading and re-reading.

Touching, joyful, evocative -and beautifully illustrated by Eve Garnett - these poems perfectly capture a childs wonder, imagination, and fascination ...More at Christianbook.com
