| dwilson960's Full Review: Panasonic PV-V4621 VHS VCR |
I tried three different 4621 VCR's, all had intermittent Stereo/Surround Sound. The surround sound would cut out for several minutes then cut back in for ten to 15 minutes.
I didn't try it on a rental tape - it may work OK there.
I switched between the VCR Audio and TV Audio on the same program - the TV Surround Sound was good, the VCR Surround Sound disappeared then came back on. At times I could turn off the VCR, then turn it back on and the Surround Sound would turn back on. When the Surround Sound quit, the "Display" button indicated no Stereo sound to the VCR but the TV audio was OK.
I was replacing a six year old Panasonic PV-4561. The Stereo/Surround Sound worked fine on it but it stopped lowering tapes to the play position and spit them back out. I reconnected it after the problems with the V4621 and the sound was fine.
