This is probably the absolute best bike you can buy for the money. I would say it is probably one the best bikes you can buy for any price. the handling is superb, this bike has some major balls for a 600, the breaking has a feel that makes you feel like you can stop on a dime, the blue color is awesome, and you will definately have the ladies turning their heads when you drive by. Of course there are some negatives as with any bike. One major thing would have to be the comfort level for long trips, but this bike isnt made for those trips its made for racing. i have took a few 200-300 trips on it and sure my buttocks are a little sore not to mention the back soreness. But i have been on bikes that make this one feel like a caddy. Another negative would have to be the tranny. There is nothing really wrong with it, but it definately can be improved upon. Yamaha needs to look at Hondas tranny, that is a super smooth shifting beast. There are some reviews that say that their wrists get sore after long trips and that is true to a certain point, but i have never been on a bike that has no wrist discomfort at all.
I would definately recomend the yzf-r6 to anyone who wants a high performance bike at a great price. this bike has all the features of the more expensive ones at a smaller price. You will definately get the feel for this bike quickly after the first few times riding it and you will never go back to anything else.
