What the company says about the bike:
Styled to recall the past, the Heritage Softail Springer is a bike for riders who want the comfort of a Softail with the looks of a 1930s Hardtail. The fat front fork, old-fashioned looking, studded leather saddlebags, chrome studded seat, full windshield, floorboards, large chrome headlamp with twin passing lamps, Fat Bob fuel tank, and fishtail mufflers all take it's riders back in time.
What I think about the bike:
Sort of a hybrid – halfway between the mean and low looks of the other Softail (seat backwards), and the smooth lines of Electra Glides (tank forwards). The bike is undeniably comfortable and capable, but doesn’t quite do it for me. The leather bags aren’t weatherproof or secure enough to leave stuff in when you leave the bike.
