Buyer Beware! Delivery not bad, order accuracy good, customer service not good. Watch out for ordering customer returns. I got burnt twice. Caption say's This is a customer return it has been quality checked and to be found in perfect working condition. It'll say this on shoes, coins, sun glasses, etc., you name it. Ordered a solar post light with this caption. Well it came, apart and pieces missing as well as the paper shredder that kept stopping in the middle of shredding. Quality checked, (RIGHT). To ship them back would be like paying for it twice. You would think that they would pick up the shipping seeing it was damaged, fat chance. My next order will be from someone that stand's behind what they sell. Not from someone that takes your money and run's! Oh! another one -Factory Serviced and quality checked.

I purchased a compact 1000 watt generator from Heartland America last Fall after too many camping trips where batteries in my camper failed. I got ready to use it last weekend for the first time, but it doesn't work. It runs about three minutes, then turns off. Any electrical load causes it to turn off immediately. When I first bought it, I recommended the same generator to a friend, his doesn't work either. Heartland America will neither replace or refund.

Terrible service. If there is anything wrong with the product you bought from them, too bad. They don't even have manufacturer contacts or offer any assistance with the manufactuer should a product be missing parts or have a defect.

BE CAREFUL ORDERING FROM THEM

I had never heard of this company until a $231.85 debit charge appeared on my bank account. I called the company--they verified that they had no record of me as a customer...looked up the charge and refused to deal further with me..saying I'd have to go through my financial institution. Obviously this company is not verifying security codes or billing address or questioning when shipping address is different. I'd be very careful giving this company my info! I'm in the process of reversing the charge now.

Not a honest and upright company!!! I purchased a product for 49.00 on-line. When I checked out they had added a 30.00 membership fee. I called to cancel the purchase and was informed that I had to wait 48hrs to cancel. This type of business practice should be against the law. I will never do business with them again.

I purchased a Memory Plus Cool Pillow which was advertised to be much cooler and more comfortable than a conventional one. The product I received did not even come close to the product description. It was every bit as hot as a regular pillow and did not exhibit the characteristics of memory foam, more like regular rubberfoam. I sent it back, having to pay the return UPS myself. I eventually received a refund for the initial purchase price including shipping, but was not refunded my return cost of almost $10.
Basically I had to pay $10 to discover that Heartland America does not advertise truthfully.

My experience with this company have been frustrating and disappointing. I placed an order and paid with a check. When the order finally came, it was one item instead of two. Customer service would not send me another item but insisted I return the single item with their return slip, which I did. They claim it was never received. Ray, the alleged customer service supervisor was unwilling to help and was quite rude. Unless this is resolved fairly, I intend to cause as much trouble as possible for these people.

My husband ordered a set of outside solar lights. They were missing parts when delivered, and when he contacted customer service he was told that he had to repackage them, and return them insured at his own cost, and only then they would send him a replacement. This is an unacceptable way of doing business.

Beware-
I bought 4 goose down pillows. When the box arrived I wondered why they sent only one. Actually there were 4 in the box, to give you an idea of the amount of fill in each pillow. I then bought a electric blanket and a electric shaver and a refurbished computer. Thats when things went bad. The refurbished computer would not work. Sent it back as they said another one would be sent. The second computer arrived, it worked, but was beat/banged up, looked like it had been through WWII and noisy, like a Shermin tank. Gave up on it. Then the electric blanket would not heat on one side properly. After a dozen shaves on the rechargeable shaver, the battery would not charge. Upon opening the shaver I discovered that the battery was soldered in and to replace the battery the shaver would have to be sent back to the factory for a battery replacement. Gave up on that too.
In my opinion, their stuff is seconds that manufacturers are trying to dump. ---Beware----

A big headache

I recently purchased a new Jules Jurgensen Men's watch from Heartland America. It arrived in a few days, but broken. I called to get an exchange and was told I would need to wait 10 days for a return shipping label. In order to expedite the process I paid for return shipping myself, only to find out the watch was "no longer available" and I was eligible for a refund only. My credit card has still not been credited. I will give it another week or two before I take further action. Yes, they also charge a $2.99 processing fee on top of shipping cost. This was my one and only experience with Heartland America.

Cheap crap!

I bought a cuckoo clock. It is actually a beutiful looking clock. It hung on the wall for 3 months, and then literally fell apart. It is the roof part that hangs on the nail. The whole bottom part of the clock broke loose from the roof, and the roof was still hanging on the hook. A few inches to the left, and it would have fell on my 5 yr old grandsons head!!!!!!! This thing weighs about 10 lbs.I contacted customer service, and they told me that I would have to call the manufacturer, which is located in China (go figure)!!!! This stupid thing was put together with only a few staples, and built by "assembly line slaves. Heartland America is just another ChinaMart, no better than WalMart. I will NEVER buy from this company again. Customer service was rude.

False advertising of rebate made product more expensive than advertised.

Dishonest mentions on website regarding rebate. Stated there was a mail-in rebate but turns out it is only a store credit against next order which must happen in a very short period of time.
Customer service claimed I should have checked out the rebate site while ordering despite acknowledging I would not have had enough information to process the rebate.

They send me a reconditioned on. However its written at the end of the description but its not very clear, it should be on the top of the product that its factory serviced. Be careful about Norelco Speed-XL Shaver - Model #: BB8140XL, its factory serviced.

I've ordered three items from Heartland America over the past three months. The prices are good. I got what I ordered. Delivery is a little slow ( probably due to the fact the items come from the manufacturer). No bad overall. Heartland America's Customer Service is helpful and responsive. Would buy from again.

The only problem that occurred was minor cosmetic damage to the product due to factory packaging which did not secure the device. Therefore, it was allowed to "role around" in it's box. That was disappointing because I wished to display this unusual unit.

RE: The Wireless Headphones. No rechargable batteries were included as they should have been according to the advertisment. I contacted Heartland about this on-line and never got a response. I bought my own set of rechargable batteries.

The so-called rebate is only in form of credit on future purchases. If I had known that I wouldn't have bought it.
The phone doesn't work and interfers with my computer. The answering machine portion doesn't function but produces an irritating buzz.
I am so unhappy with this purchase I will place a review in the site and will never purchase from this company again.
I am not even bothering to return it as I am sure they won't refund the money but again only offer store credit - which I would find a waste of time.
The order was received on time but I had no way of tracking it as I got no confirmation of the order via email or any other method. I waited for the 3-4 day service I paid for and received it on time.
Very poor quality - and don't use this vendor again if you are wise.
