Pros: Great design and shape, rugged Cons: Smaller size only hold one load, shape can not stack well
As you mature there are things you just have to own - most people do not survive without a laundry basket somewhere in their possession. As I started looking around for baskets that were not just practical, but better, I laid my eyes on the ...

Pros: Great curved design; 3 handles; sturdy; durable Cons: None
I admit it was nice having someone else do all of the heavy lifting for me when I was pregnant, and my husband was more than willing to move anything that I asked. Laundry really wasn't heavy, it was just big and awkward when trying to hold it in front ...

Pros: transports laundry like a breeze, extremely durable, contoured to make use comfortable Cons: maybe the cost (but its well worth it!)
The newest Laundry Basket in my arsenal of clothes washing tools is The Rubbermaid Hip Hugger Laundry Basket. It has made life much easier since the days when I only had my basic Rubbermaid basket, and has made the process of transporting clothes and ...

Pros: Can be carried with one hip and one hand, extraordinary durability Cons: difficult to cough up eleven dollars for the first basket
My husband has yet to realize his dream of building a laundry chute. Until he does, we are forced to schlep our laundry up and down the most treacherous flight of steps I have ever climbed, excluding Mayan ruins. The staircase is winding, badly ...

Pros: Three handles; curved side for easy carrying; large capacity; exceptionally durable. Cons: None
I hate doing laundry. Ever since I was ten years old and my mom taught me to wash my own clothes, I hated it - the gathering, the sorting, the folding, ugh! At least at her house, the washer and dryer were conveniently located just off the kitchen; in ...

Pros: This product is designed to make laundry easier. It's sturdy and is a nice size. Cons: None.
Have you ever used a product for years and years and thought, “There’s no way this product will ever change because what could possibly be done to make it better?” I have many times. Sometimes it seems that inventing a better version of a standard ...

Pros: Great product!! Will last for years. Cons: None to date.
WHAT'S THE 411 ON THIS PRODUCT? This product has been out for a while. Maybe several years now. I actually didn't buy this for a while. Like most everything else, I waited for a long while before I decided to get one. But I've been a big user of ...

Pros: Great for going through doorways. Cons: The handles do not stand up to use.
The Hip Hugger is a great idea. It is very convenient. However, the basket we have has not lasted. The handles have broken. They need more material to support the laundry loads.

The best Laundry Basket I've owned!
by savvywolf ,Feb 22 '04
Pros: Will last a long time, comfortable to carry. Cons: More expensive than other baskets.
About a year ago I was in need of a new laundry basket. I usually buy the cheapest one I can find - but this time I decided to see if the Rubbermaid baskets were actually better - as they claim to be. Let's just say I've been pleasantly surprised! The basket is easy and comfortably carried and holds a lot of clothes. It feels very sturdy - the sides don't "give" at all when you pick it up, unlike some of the other cheaper baskets, even when carrying wet clothes outside to line dry in the summer months. It has definitely been worth buying and I feel it will last many, many years.
