An excellent choice for small to medium sized businesses

This router series is an excellent choice for small to medium sized businesses requiring inter-LAN routing or Internet access. It comes standard with a 10Mbs Ethernet connection and optionally a fixed serial port for connection to another device, such as a CSU/DSU or PBX, or a modular port. This modular port may be used to upgrade the router, at added expense, with a T1/E1 module, ISDN BRI module, etc.

Another advantage to choosing the Cisco line is the inclusion of their patented IOS technology. This is the programming language used to configure your Cisco router. It is fairly straight-forward and, once learned, can be used to configure nearly any Cisco product, so as your network grows, you'll find it very easy to implement the required changes.
In my opinion, this is probably the greatest reason to choose Cisco.
