# 10 is "The Hurricane" staring Denzel Washington as Rubin Carter. He does a great job portraying the boxer. The story is very good. But it left out lots of the key parts to his life. The movie makes us feel sorry for Rubin and you will be laughing and crying.
#9 is "The Cider House Rules". About a boy who tries to find himself in the world . It is a very sad story that at sometimes cheers you up. The problem was the ending. Where the main character goes and does makes me angry
#8 is 'Being John Malkovich" . This screenplay is unbeilvable. It is very funny with a serious story. The problem was the realationship with each character toward each other is disgusting.The ending is a good one
#7 is "Three Kings" about 3 soldiers who search for gold after the persian war. They find themselves trapped and then saved by citizens of Iraq. The 3 soldiers help them to cross the border and be free. It is very funny and well acted
#6 is "The Sixth Sense" staring Bruce Willis. This story is about a little boy who sees dead people. It is very well acted and at someparts funny.
#5 is "Man On the Moon" staring Jim Carry as Andy Kaufman. The story is about the life of Andy Kaufman. Even though Jim Carrey was not nominated for his great performance neiuther was the movie. It was funny and very sad but good. We look at his life through the good times and the bad.This is a very well done film.
#4 is "The Talented Mr.Ripley"very good and scary. Matt daman plays a man who goes to Europe to bring home a boy his father sent him to go and find him. Mr. Ripley founds himself becoming best friends and wants now his friends life.I won't give it away but it is good.
#3 is "American Beauty" staring Kevin Spacy and Annette Bening. The story is about any other american family but with more problems. The father has a mid life crises, the wife with an affiar and the daughter being a teen. This funny and an a excellent movie to go see.
#2 is "Magnolia" . Its about 6 different stories that later role into about 3. Theses stories by themselves could be movies but director Paul Anderson does a great job. This movie is probably the best acting in a long time.
#1 is "The Insider" Staring Russell Crowe and Al Pacino. Its about a man who got fired from a tobacco company who knows the truth about them. Al Pacino plays the producer of 60 minutes. Russell Crowe's character loses a lot more than he had planned. This is the best movie since "The Shawshank Redemption". Go out and see the most sad and inspirational movie of the year. See the courage of this character to get out the truth
