Just wanted to let everyone know that there will be some general category changes happening starting today (Wed., July 16). Epinions is migrating the databases for all the media categories over to the Shopping.com catalogue. This includes movies, books and music, but does not include Movies in Theaters at this time. What you'll see is the URL format with the /review/ tag in the middle as the standard.

What you also might see is some of your reviews without a category. They will still be accessible to you and others, but the category will read "Category Vertical Unavailable" or something like that. Those reviews will be mapped over the next week and should slowly regain their proper categories. Epinions is requesting that people not move these reviews so that they can be mapped manually.

I will not have SAP capabilities between now and the 23rd, while these changes are taking place. Feel free to send in SAP requests as usual, but be aware that we can't do anything with them until after that date.

I saw the message earlier. Considering how it went when this was done in other areas, I'm not exactly looking forward to it. I'm just hoping it is smoother this time.
