ARE YOU CRAZY??

Apr 17 '00

I sometimes think we are! My husband and I have 4 wonderful boys. I enjoy every bit of the craziness. The ages of our boys are 11yr, 9yr, 3yr, 1yr.
I always wanted a large family like the Walton's. There is always so much going on all the time. I always dreamed of a large family around the christmas tree opening up presents, of course that was before I had to buy then all. In these times it is getting harder for young couples to have large families. That is such a shame. It is a wonder experience. Of course cost is a big factor. The grocery bill is alone is always sky high not to mention all the other can't live without items that add up.
I have found that the children really don't care about the big things that sometime us parents think are children want and need. Like that fancy vacation or a pair of those sixty dollar sneakers. The things that are children really want and need is free. Love and time. My children would much rather stay home and play a family game and eat popcorn then go to a movie. These are the times that our children are going to remember and look back on. I think we as parents get in touch with what is truly important and get back to the basics.
