Peanut Butter and Jelly times 100!!
Jun 04 '00
This recipe was passed down from my friend who got it from his dad who got it from his friend’s mom growing up. It seems like a simple concept at first but the taste is amazing. There’s a twist at the end that makes is taste so good but. This is the only kind of peanut butter and jelly that I eat now....these sandwiches have spoiled me.
You will need the following things for this recipe (no specific amount just suit your own personal preference):
Bread ( I like white)
Butter/Margerine (What ever happened to Mooove over butter?)
Peanut Putter (Peter Pan baby the plastic jar has saved me numerous times)
Jelly (Welch’s brings strong game....so does their grape juice)
Anything else you’d like (Marsh mellows, Eminems (hehe), or even onions)
Alright you know the drill some like to put the peanut butter first, some like to put it on second (it doesn’t matter but people are weird) or some like to go a layer of peanut butter in between two of jelly or vice versa. Once you get the peanut butter and jelly inside spread some butter on the outside. Here’s the secret to the whole thing: Griddle it. Throw those buttered up baby’s on the frying pan and toast them until they are crispy to suit your own taste.
Enjoy! But be careful....these sandwiches are at least two times more filling than regular Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and also twice as sticky (and twice as good). I would recommend having something to drink with this. I’m not a big fan of milk so I’d recommend either lemonade, grape juice or orange juice. They don’t take all that long to make so next time you’re making lunch (it got my friends dad through college he says) give these a try if you’re ready to put a twist on your regular ‘ol peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Oh yeah this might be just a sliver more fattening than regular Peanut butter and jelly but hey with a little exercise in your daily routine (like everyone should be doing...i reccomend 5 miles daily) this would be a nice treat when you're done.
