Pros: Beastie Boys' MixMaster Mike mixes these tracks like an eggbeater: the sound is ill, the graphics are groundbreaking in essence of a sports game,
Cons: The controls are extremly hard to get used to if you have ever been addicted to Tony Hawk, no 4 player mode

Before you know it, you've got one. Yep, a Playstation 2. I got mine through 2 years pre-order, but you might have trouble. But what games should be purchased. I have composed a short list of launch games that are worth it...
In no particular order:
TimeSplitters
SSX
Madden 2001
Tekken Tag Tournament
Today I will be reviewing SSX. Throughout this review I will be using the adjectives phat, ill, sick, and other teenage slang.
-Gameplay-
Where else does a phat game get it sickness but from the gameplay. You can rip up all the ill courses in race, freeride, or showoff mode, building up you character's stats until he is the grimmest ripper of all. Get new trick sticks for your dude (new boards for your characters) and new gear (clothing) and even build up his speed, turning tricks, and more by getting medals by Racing and Showoff.
The racing is cool, you have to beat six other racers through three races, which is much harder than it seems. Numerous shortcuts in each level make it crazy, but also considering all the sick paths, and the considering the tremendous length of each level, these levels are awesome!
My favorite is showoff, these tricks are crazy, I can bust fatties that even the pros wouldn't dream of. Like a Backwash 1440 UNETHICAL Experimental to late combo grab! You can link your flips, spins, and grabs together to make one big trick!
The multiplayer mode is sick, but it isn't full sickness 'cuz only one buddy can rip the course up, not all four players can play.
-Control-
If you have never been addicted to Tony Hawk, than these controls are fine, but if you have, then they take some getting used to.
-Sound-
Music by Mixmaster Mike of the Beastie Boyz, it is awesome. The annoucer is not very repetitive as you might expect, so he's cool, and the sounds are phat, so 5 of 5 on the sound.
-Multiplayer-
Can showoff, freeride, or race with your buddies and then replay to rub how phat you whipped 'em up in their face. The bad thing is that you can only use two controls, so you can leave the multi-tap out for this round.
-Other-
Replay mode is a cool feature because you can edit it, change the highlights, and other stuff in the Advanced replay mode. You can then save it and watch it later.
-Overall-
If you are looking for a good racing game to get, don't get Smuggler's run! Get SSX- Super Snowboard Cross.
