I received an e-mail that I was sent money through this site from someone. I had never heard of this site and I know why. With all the great online payment services like PayPal this one doesn't match up.
With eMoneyMail you can send and receive payments online. You can send payments using your Visa or checking account no other credit cards. You enter the recipient’s e-mail address and the amount you want to send and also they have you enter a security question and answer that you and the recipient will know. Before you can send any money they send you a postal mail for security with a PIN number to enter to confirm you mailing address. You are charged a dollar for every payment you send.
To receive the money your sent you need to sign up for their service. Then you need to enter how you want to receive your money. You can either have it sent to your checking account or Visa card. Again there is no other credit card you can have your money sent too. There is no charge to receive money and as I found out you don't have to already be a member ,but you do need to sign up before you can accept your payment. It takes a couple days to have your money sent to your checking account. If you choose the credit card option you will receive it the same day.
Some other features of this site are basic. You can check the status of your transactions through their eMoneyMail mailbox and clicking on Transaction history. You can also at anytime change your account information like your e-mail address or password and other account information.
With all the other online payment services that are free I don't see any real advantages of eMoneyMail. I sure didn't mind receiving money through this service, but I would never send anyone money through them. They don't even offer you five dollars just to sign up like PayPal does.
