I was sitting watching the news a few weeks ago, and low and behold, they said the IRS encourages people to file electronically. I've always been a pencil and paper kinda girl, so this was in the back of my mind, but I wasn't seriously thinking about it.
Fast forward a week. I can't get the name of the company from the news out of my mind. www.HDVEST.com I decided to give it a try, or at least look at the website. Before I knew it, it was DONE!! Even better than done, it was FREE!!! We filed the long form, as always, went through all the deductions, ect... and then we were DONE! From what I understand, it may not be a free service next year, so take advantage of it while you can. Or, at least check it out.
This website is extremely easy to navigate. If you don't have all of your paperwork together, it saves what you have done and you can go back to it later. I have told all my friends about it, and will definitely do it again next year. I got my return back in 2 weeks!!
