| ESTIU's Full Review: Topp Telecom, Inc (Tracfone Prepaid Cellular) |
After many turn downs with local cell phone companies because of bad credit, I decided to go to Radio Shack and check into prepaid cellular plans. The Salesperson suggested a Tracfone which he said they had been selling a lot of. I purchased the phone for $99 because it included free 60 minutes of talk time, I did not have to have a credit check, I did not have to sign a contract, I did not have to pay an activation fee, I did not have to put down a deposit on the phone (I bought the phone. The phone is mine), and I did not have to worry about monthly bills.
My experience with the phone which is a Uniden has been great. I get clear crisp sound out of it. I don't have to struggle to hear the person on the other end. It works great inside my car, outside my car, in my home, and in windy conditions. I know when ever I need the phone it will work 100%.
The prepaid cellular service is with Topp Telecom, Inc. Topp Telecom, Inc is very convenient and easy to contact. Their headquarters are in Florida. They have nationwide service anywhere cellular coverage is available (for example, my phone service through Topp Telecom, Inc is with United States Cellular) and Tracfone prepaid cellular phone cards are sold at over 15,000 retailers across the country. However, sometimes there is long waits on the phone for customer service but they are getting better at that. When you do get ahold of some one in customer service they will be friendly. I have never had anyone from Topp Telecom, Inc. be rude to me since I purchased the Tracfone.
This is a good cellular plan for someone who has bad credit, who doesn't want to be surprised by high monthly bills, and who needs a good emergency phone for their vehicle. It is easy to activate. All you have to do is take the phone home, charge up the battery, call Topp Telecom to program your phone, and purchase prepaid Tracfone cards bimonthly.
Prepaid Tracfone cards are very inexpensive. I buy ten minute or thirty minute cards bimonthly with very little damage to my purse. Prepaid airtime card prices are $7.99 for ten minutes, $19.99 for thirty minutes, $49.99 for one hundred minutes, and $99.99 for two hundred sixty minutes.
You have a choice of the brand of phone you want depending on where you buy your Tracfone. Mine is a Uniden because that is what my local Radio Shack had. Tracfones also include Motorola and Nokia brand cell phones.
I love my Tracfone because as long as I keep my service active my minutes never expire (you loose all minutes on the phone if you don't purchase any Tracfone cards for four months). My minutes add up if I don't use them all up (you can build up plenty of talk time). I also love the fact the prices for the cards include all taxes and fees. I want minutes I pay $7.99 or $19.99 and that's it!
I also have roaming on my cell phone which is great. I take it to Florida when I go on vacation. The cell phone has always worked great there, too.
