I noticed Smith & Noble has a best buys section. I think the best prices apply to standard size windows. Unfortunately for me, my money pit of a house is quite old and nothing in it is standard. Smith and Noble has great prices for custom work. However, if you have standard size windows, you might be able to get better prices with pre-mades elsewhere.

My husband and I are redecorating. We bought a valance set from Penney's. We are looking to buy a second set, but pay a bit less for the second than the first. I wonder if we will be able to find what we need/want here. Will have to give them a try.

You are right about measuring. We were so nervous that we did it about 15 times. It worked out for us - but is probably not for everyone.

Let me know if you need any help finding things for decorating your home. I have a few tricks up my sleeve :) How measuring the windows yourself work out? Unfortunately windows are never perfect so this can be very tricky.
