| kurbs's Full Review: Motorola Timeport P935 |
I am on my 2nd Timeport. They have so many nice features and functions, I never even use them all. Although I do know 1 guy who utilize it close to full capacity.
It is a 2 way, 1 way alpha/numeric pager. It can send emails, it can call your house and leave a voice message, it has a calculator, games, alarm, and several sounds.
It has a nice battery charger, and a software cd that can be loaded into the pager. It has an infrared port that can exchange data from one pager to another as well. It can store a phone book, notes, favorite places, restaurants, etc.
It is a very versatile pager. The reason I am on my 2nd pager however, is that it popped out of my holster and dropped about 2 feet. It would not work after that. Motorola would not replace it because they said it was my fault! Actually, I know several people who wear them for work and they have all dropped and ruined them at sometime or another.
The 2nd one just bumped a doorway once when I was walking in and now the display is messed up. At least it still works, because replacing them is cheaper than getting them fixed if you can believe that! Great Motorola Marketing here.
It can be very bulky. For women, it will fit in a purse nicely. For men, it hangs off your belt and tends to get bopped alot. The holsters are very similar in design to the Motorola Iden phones. They pop out ALL the time.
At least they redesigned the Iden line to include a leather holster versus a hard plastic one. No leather available for this pager that I know of.
SO if you want all these functions, you can actually get a Palm Pilot cheaper and it will do more.
Would you use all the functions? That is up to you. If not, stick with a more basic pager. If yes, I would recommend getting a Palm Pilot.
