The Bottom Line Love is confusing...
Why do I smile when I feel like crying? I smile for you.
Why do I dream when dreams seem so unbelievable? I dream of you.
Why do I laugh when I feel like screaming? I laugh for you.
Why do I love when I feel so lonely? I love you.
When you’re so far away, I can’t reach you. Yet I reach out.
When you’re so quiet, I can’t talk to you. Yet I talk anyway.
When you’re so angry, I can’t make you understand. Yet I try.
When you’re so distant, I can’t break through. Yet I make the attempt.
I smile, I dream, I laugh, I love. I am me and yet it doesn’t seem enough.
I am the person you fell in love with. Yet you try to change me.
I am getting stronger and more self reliant. Yet you want dependence back.
You say you love me for who I am. Yet you want me different.
We fight, we battle, we disagree. Yet I still love you.
We are at a crossroads in life. Do we stay or walk away?
I am so unhappy, lonely, and feel like giving up. Yet I continue
I hope, I dream, I believe. Yet I wonder if we can succeed.
So now things will change. I will live for me.
