Yeah, there are some amazing games out there. Head Over Heels was one of the best of them - still couldn't complete it though, it always defeated me on the Speccy and Atari ST!!
QFG is definitely best enjoyed by fans of the original game, but is a great achievement whichever way you look at it. I was baffled by aspects of it for a while as I'd never played the original.

I really love the freeware "remake" scene. I had a blast playing the remake of 3D platform adventure "Head over Heels" that I loved so much on my beloved (and still functioning) c64.
