These reviews saved me a lot of aggravation!
I called to order a Pentax K200D at their web price of $565. The salesman explained that I also needed a $199 "high speed" memory card, $67 in batteries and a warranty. Oh, and then there was the secret 9% extra charge they add just because. It all came to $999.
Right after placing the order I learned that the camera comes with a memory buffer, so I don't need a super high speed SD card and even if I did, it should cost $45 not $199. Also, I learned the camera comes with batteries and the rechargeable ones are $9, not $67. I then researched warranties and learned that they are a complete waste of money.
By now, they were closed, so I emailed their support to cancel the order and received an automated reply saying that no one reads the support email, that I need to call, and that they won't cancel an order by email or voice mail.
I then called my credit card company and had my card blocked.
I called the next day and, after being on hold forever, told the cust service rep I was canceling my order. He told me to hold while he got my cancellation reference number. After another long time on hold the salesman came on and asked why I was canceling, tried to talk me out of it and finally and very rudely said "fine, cancel the order then" and hung up.
I am thinking my order is canceled, but I'll leave my card blocked a while longer just in case. We'll see.
