Wright State's excellent on-campus living options make it stand out among other comparable schools in the area.
First I will describe my room, as it is the one I am most familiar with. I have a single, which is about 12' by 24'. It contains some furnishing, including a fridge/freezer and a microwave. Best of all, the room comes with a jack for internet access and a separate one for my phone, and cable and A/C are also included. This is the perfect college dorm room. The bathroom is less than perfect, however.
Actually, all it comes down to is that the toilet, with the intention of conserving water, doesn't flush very well, and led to some problems one day last week. Having cleaned all that up, things have been fine ever since.
For those who are more elaborate when it comes to fashion, they might have a bit of a problem with the amount of closet space. I have evolved to a system in which I use hangers exclusively for my more formal clothes.
It should also be noted that most of the rooms in the woods are doubles or quads. Quads have their own bathroom and a larger refrigerator. You will therefore not have to share a bathroom with any more than 3 people.
The other housing option for freshmen is Hamilton Hall. It is located right next to the student union, with easy access to the campus tunnel system. On the inside, Hamilton offers the traditional dorm situation. That means, of course, having to run down the hall to use the bathroom or take a shower; just like Mom & Dad used to! This building is very popular with Wright State's disabled population. Those who enjoy dog-watching will like sitting in the Hamilton Hall lobby as seeing-eye companions safely guide their masters.
