Probably one of the better launch titles. Its a good game. Ever since Cool Boarders I haven't been too keen on snowboarding games but this one is certainly the best snowboarding game I have ever played.
The graphics are excellent. The characters look incredible and the surroundings look almost realistic. The sound is brilliant and it almost seems to flow with the game. Also all the characters say their own things. The controls were very good.
There are 8 characters and 8 courses. All the courses are full of obstacles such as rails, trees and jumps. There is two modes the single event mode and the World circut mode. There is 4 different parts th the single event mode. Part one is the race event you v 7 compeditors in first over the line wins. Next is the showoff event where you do tricks. Then you have the free ride mode for practice. Finally there is the warm up mode for beginners.
The world circut mod is where you will be able to unlock characters. You can also earn medals and experience points after winning a 3 race series with your selected character.
Overall SSX is one of the best PS2 games out there and should be in every PS2 owner's collection.
