that I've seen or reseen relatively recently don't hold up well. "Decline of the American Empire" seems dated, didactic, and unfunny. "That Man from Rio" is mildly amusing slapstick, but Jean-Paul Belmondo was not Buster Keaton.

I feel like I'm constantly congratulating you on an Eps milestone of some sort. Pretty soon, you'll run out of movies to review. I've been around here for five years, and I don't have 400 yet!!

I always liked the New York Critics Circle, it's the only one I take seriously along with other critics awards. Those plus film festival awards and the Indie Spirit are the ones I aspire to be recognized for. The Oscars are OK.
