It was nice that Dell financed my computer although I don't think I would have purchased as many bells and whistles had they not. Hmm? I purchased their digital camera which isn't bad for $200 (actually they say $199) The CD-RW was thrown in for free. If you have an older computer and use a digital camera you may notice how long it takes to download pictures. They finally increased the speed of the system bus which allows faster transfers between periphals and your computer. The computer is fast but Windows ME is as prone to system crashes just as the versions before it. You may want to split your hard drive before you install windows and put Linux on one half and windows on the other. I think after you get used to linux you will slowly use the windows version less and less.
My computer is a 1.3 gig Pentium 4 and now that Intel came out with the 2gig chip the price should fall even more!
