I'll make this as brief and objective as possible: Buy.com advertised a Kingston 2gb SD memory card for $4.95 after rebate, limit of two. On 03-19-2007 I bought two, and everything seemed fine. One arrived, along with an invoice for two. We began a week-long email correspondence where no one but I, myself, was fluent in English. It was a real nightmare. (Bear in mind that you only have 14 days in which to have a returned item in transit back to this company, so the clock is ticking as you burn up a week attempting to communicate with them.) They initiated a shipping claim on my behalf after I specifically instructed them not to do so, since this was obviously not a shipping incident - the package wasn't damaged; the item was simply never included in the package in the first place! Buy.com informed me that they were suddenly out of stock on this item, and couldn't offer a rain check or a replacement. I couldn't even keep the one card that did arrive because the original receipt with both items on it, which was required for the rebate, was also required for the return. At $53.95, the card would have been horribly overpriced. After all was said and done, I did eventually receive refunds for both items by 04-09-2007. My shipping costs with tracking & insurance to return this item were $7.27 via UPS. There is absolutely no way I would ever attempt to do business with this company again.
