Just got done ordering a new guitar, amp and several other items from musiciansfriend.com. Everything I ordered was listed as "in stock" when I placed the order. I received an email that afternoon stating that the amplifier had shipped. I had it in my house just over 48 hours after I ordered it. I was amazed. However, several days passed and nothing else shipped. They had not updated the status of my order. Five days later nothing had changed. I emailed them and asked why nothing had shipped. I checked that day and every item left on my order was still listed as in-stock. I received a response to my email just a few hours later. They stated that there had been a "delay" at the their warehouse. Miraculously, I received another email that afternoon that the rest of my order had shipped. Was there a delay that just coincidently got resolved on the day I inquired or had the order just slipped through the crack? I'm curious.
However, three days later I had everything. Everything was accounted for and in good shape. So, overall, I'd have to say that I am generally pleased. Their prices were really no different than anywhere else. The only reason I picked them was that the guitar I wanted seemed to be out-of-stock at every other on-line music warehouse. I don't know if they have better sales, but their prices were pretty much identical on every item I ordered at places that carried the same item. However, I will say that their customer service answered my question promptly and if the order had slipped through the crack they got it back on course pretty quickly.
