| graeamos's Full Review: Wacom Graphire Pen & Mouse Set |
i've wanted a wacom since back when it was first out, and when i finally got one early 2001, i was excited!!! like when i got my first markers for drawing! and all i did the first week was test test test the wacom pen!
i had read reviews saying how the mouse was completely useless, so i didn't even bother using it. i just installed all the programs on the CD for the graphire, and started to practice writing, drawing, using the pen in photoshop, etc.
it was great! i was able to draw exactly like i did on paper with the graphire and able to set the pressure and eraser too! it was great, and the only thing was the useless mouse...
so i tried it...thinking it was the most inaccurate pointer ever! but then i learned how to tweak the settings for the mouse surface on the graphire, and how i could tweak also the direction my wrist curved when i moved in different directions. and that i didn't need my regular mouse anymore, this wireless wacom mouse was getting good! it was comfortable and had a scroll!!! you could customize the buttons as well!
and now i use the wacom tablet daily! i use the mouse as a regular mouse and it works great! it's so customized that even other people have trouble using it because they do not hold their hand in a certain way! the only negative thing is that i have not yet found how to program the middle scroll button using the included wacom program.
definitely required for any kind of artist! if not this wacom graphire, and you can afford something more - get a wacom tablet! i'm sure it's only going to get BETTER!!!
