Where else are you going to find out the true scoop on Sharon Stone’s husband and the savage Komodo Dragon that bit his big toe? Surely not in the two paragraph blurb buried in your favorite national newspaper. I know that you girls out there want to see more of what “The Stars” are wearing so that you might hiss and have the little hairs on the back of your neck rise in jealousy.
There is only one place to find the kind of facts and stories that most National newspapers feel are, well, how should I put this, not quite up to the standards that they keep. That paper is the weekly National Enquirer! While it was my mother that introduced me to The National Enquirer in my youth as travel reading, it is I who has kept my favorite bathroom reading material in the house for the past few years.
While reading in my personal library, nothing but the Enquirer can truly make my reading time worthwhile. I generally jump straight to All The Gossip! so that I can catch up on all the latest Hollywood juiciness. Mike Walker (Enquirer Gossip Editor) really doles out the inside scoop on some of my favorite actors and actresses.
Did you know that Ben Affleck is a poor loser? Apparently and according to one of Mike’s “Spy Witness’s” it appears to be true. In the latest issue word has it that Ben wasn’t to gentle while throwing his cards in the face of some poor dealer in a Montreal casino recently. Shame on Ben.
I also enjoy Susan Baker’s (Enquirer Fashion Editor) “Pizzazz” feature near the back of the paper. Susan highlights some of the best-dressed ladies of Hollywood. This week there is an absolutely stunning photo of Kristen Chenoweth, star of the upcoming sitcom “Kristen”. Susan also features a “Fashion Victim Of The Week” in this section and it isn’t always pleasant to see.
The National Enquirer is a unique paper that isn’t for everyone but it is for almost everyone. Fairy tale weddings, death, destruction, miracles, fashion, and heartwarming stories abound in the pages of The National Enquirer. Some say the paper is a rag full of spaceship sightings, lies, and innuendo about people and the famous. Maybe it is and maybe it isn’t. There have been many big news stories that have appeared first in The National Enquirer. There have also been little green men and alien kidnap stories.
It’s up to you to decide which stories to believe!
