I bought a Dell computer about a year and a half ago. I have been extremely pleased since then. I am not a huge fan of pre-built computers such as Gateway and HP. However, Dell's computers are a great buy. I have had little problems with my Dell computer. Once, the monitor started flickering, and Dell sent me a new one the very next day! The Dell machines are extremely fast and powerful and allow kids to play their favorite games on them with no problems at all. In addition, Dell provides great software with their computers. My machine came with Windows 98 me addition and office 2000. These software packages alone usually cost around $300 each.
