Shopping on- line this holiday season, I have already spent a good deal of time and money at my favorite on- line retailers. I have a handful that I tend to purchase from more than any other and they are sites I can count on to have what I want at a low price. But like most holiday seasons, I have taken some time to visit some brand- new on line stores to see if they have anything unique to offer. One of these is Kohls.com, the on- line version of the well- known retailer.
What Does This Site Offer?:
Kohls.com offers products for sale in areas like:

Final Thoughts:
Kohls is a store I have been visiting since I was very young and living in the state of Wisconsin. Kohls began in this northern state and I can recall visiting Kohls for the first time when it was still only a grocery store.
Today, I find myself visiting Kohls department stores on an infrequent basis but I visit the on- line store more often. I came to Kohls.com recently to make some holiday purchases and I generally enjoyed the product offerings, the prices, and the overall experience. I wasnt so sure about the sites appearance at first (it often resembles an open page from one of the companys flyers). But once you get around the appearance, Kohls.com has some good things to offer shoppers.
Like the actual department stores themselves, the emphasis at Kohls.com is on the purchase of clothing. There is more womens clothing for sale than anything, but there is also a good amount of mens and childrens clothing as well. And, like the physical location stores, the on- line store sells items like small appliances, bedding, pillows, make- up and other beauty supplies, etc.
I came to Kohls.com not for clothing, but rather to look for a specific kitchen appliance. I was able to find what I wanted instantly using the search function from the home page. Within seconds, I had what I wanted in front of me, on the screen, with complete information on the appliance itself and what was included if I decided to make a purchase. The speed of finding this purchase was pretty good, but it would be better if there were more features, like the ability to compare similar items side by side.
Kohls.com accepts Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express for payment. It also accepts, of course, Kohls own credit card. Unfortunately, sales tax is added to all orders, eliminating one of the benefits of shopping on- line (the sales tax is computed based on your state and county). Before you even get to the point of entering your address, there is already an estimated sales tax on the screen, in the amount of 6 percent. As soon as I saw this, I knew sales tax was going to be part of my bill and I almost stopped shopping and looked elsewhere to make the purchase. But the item I needed was listed at Kohls.com and it would have taken too much effort to find it anyplace else so I continued with my order.
Shipping options include standard ground and priority air. The standard ground is the least expensive and carries a flat rate charge of about $7 for the first item and $1.50 for each additional item. Priority air carries a charge of $15 for the first item and $3 for each additional item. Throughout the year, Kohls.com offers specials on shipping, so it is possible to get a better deal on delivery than these standard rates. Just recently, the rate was lowered to 99 cents for standard ground shipping, as part of kohls.com holiday promotion. Again, this was enough to convince me to continue with my order. I had to pay sales tax, yes. But I was charged only 99 cents for the convenience of having something delivered right to my front door. And Kohls.com delivered my item in only four working days- within the promised time frame and in plenty of time for Christmas.
Kohls.com doesnt require you to setup an account with the site to complete an order. It gives you the choice. You can either skip registration with the site and finish the order or you can register as part of the checkout process. If you skip registration, the process will be faster. But if you plan to come back here and shop again anytime soon, completing the registration can save you future time because the site will save your shipping and billing information, for easy access. Remember, too, that you have the option of returning an on- line purchase either by mail or by taking the item to the customer service desk at a Kohl's store in your neighborhood.
Kohls.com is a nice on- line store and its one I am happy to say I utilized during this holiday season. The selection is good and the ease of finding what you need is a definite plus. You have to pay sales tax on all orders, but if you watch for the special offers, you could have your delivery charges reduced or eliminated completely. The home page is a little bolder than I would prefer, with its multi- colored layout that resembles one of the stores paper advertisements. But overall, I like this on- line store. I was able to find what I wanted at a price that matched the physical store price to the penny and then I got it shipped to me for less than one dollar.
Kohls.com was a positive experience- financially and otherwise- and I will continue to shop here in the future. It has what you need, delivered to you in short amount of time, with no hassle and no fuss.
