Sam Adams is usually something I call upon when I can't find anything of interest. I drink Boston Lager regualrly in bars for that reason. I don't really see a wide choice of brews avaialble here, usually the seasonals and Boston Ale. I tried cherry lambic and thought it to be very lacklustre. If I see Old Stock I'll give it a try.

SA/Jim Koch (Reply to this comment)
by pubscout
The craft beer world owes a debt of gratitude to Jim Koch for his marketing genius, if not for the consistently high quality of his brews.
While not everyone may go ga-ga over every SA style--I do my best to avoid Cherry Wheat--SA's beers win hands down in many blind tastings around the country, and that includes competition from "the imports."
Enjoyed the review as well as the provocative and insightful commentary re: epinions.
Try SA's Stock Ale and let me know what you think.

I was getting a little lazy on my ratings scale, as I have my own website where I post the ratings in detail. I'll either post the full explanation or leave that part off and just put 3 stars in future.
Cheers
Rich
p.s. I'll review Molson one day

A few words ..... (Reply to this comment)
by conter7
#1 I am sending you 3 pictures of me with a Molson Canadian in my hand
#2 Epinions definitelyneeds to update all categories
#3 I think for your rating scale, you should keep the same ones you have been doing before
I understand your rating because I have read a large amount of your reviews, but people won't know what 4/7/4/6/12 is, hehehe
Great job here

I Agree (Reply to this comment)

I imagine they must be backlogged considering the huge number of products Epinions covers, but I can't understand why even beers like the one you've just reviewed from a major brewer are not added. Anyway, great review as usual.

I understand your point of view, but would say that the other site your make reference to... doesn't pay royalties for reviews posted by members. I think that that's the big difference.

Andrew, you've got it again! (Reply to this comment)

As usual, you have said a mouthful. Why the hell cannot more products be listed? You know, I'm not talking about obscure ones, either. Little items, such as, say, Moosehead Beer, Emporia State University (enrollment 5000), Bitburger Beer, Spaten Beer, Old Style, Hamms, Schlitz. I could go on for quite some time on this. I wrote Bruguru about this months ago and it seems we get to just wait. Oh well, I really love epinions, but this can be frustrating.
Thanks for the comment that I could be an advisor, but I really don't think I'm up to the standards of you, Bruguru and 4-1-1 (and that's just for starters).
Thanks again!

nice review. enjoyable.
about ep. many of us are suffering the same problem. k&f and pets has not seen a new product in many months. i fear i will lose my advisorship in them because of the lack of enthusiasm i once had to write for lack of products.
maybe that will change soon for us all.:-)
