Pros: Lightweight, fits into glove compartment.
Cons: Just doesn't work at all. Don't waste your money on it.
The Bottom Line: I think this appliance, while it may sound like a good idea, is just too flimsy and lightweight to work well.

I bought this for Christmas for the family to use. I thought it would be a very handy little vacuum to have for quick cleanups in the car. It was only $20.00 at Sears. It is so very small it will almost fit into a stocking (as a stocking stuffer!). I can't get over the size of it. I thought that would be another wonderful convenience. Having to plug it into the lighter was another big plus. All of this sounds great, but unfortunately it is a great idea that just doesn't work very well. When I turned it on for the first time, it was extremely loud. I knew right away something had to be wrong. I shut it off and then turned it back on again and it was much quieter. Hmmm. Well, let's give it a try. It has very little suctioning power. Is it possible that the one I chose from the stack of Turbo Vacs was a lemon in the bunch? I may end up trying to take it back for a refund, if I can get time to do that soon, otherwise I might just end up being stuck with something that doesn't work very well at all. I put my hand to the vacuum end and barely felt any suction at all. I have no idea why they think they can call this a TURBO vac. It's more like a TIMID vac to me.
"The rugged auto vacuum that takes on the whole car with a powerful cleaning action. Sucks up dirt and sand from rugs, upholstery console and trunk. Digs deep between seats and vents with a handy crevice tool for that pro touch. Easy-to-use: Plugs into lighter receptacle. Features pop-open dirt trap for easy-empty, cord and tool storage. Fits in glove compartment."
Well, it does plug into the lighter receptacle and fits in the glove compartment, I'll give it that, at least. The box states that it has powerful cleaning action. I beg to differ. It also states that it is able to suck up sand and dirt from the mats. It doesn't do that either. I tried over and over, thinking the dirt was perhaps too much for it. I tried with little specs of dirt or tiny bits of paper or dust. Almost nothing was picked up.
It is very lightweight, weighing under a pound and has quite a long cord. It must be plugged into the lighter in order to operate it. It comes with an attachment nozzle, called a crevice tool, for those skinny, hard to reach places, which can be removed and easily stored in a slot at the back of the handle.
It is a silvery gray color. The Perfect Solutions Car Turbo Vac has one setting, on and off.
Simple Instructions for use:
Unwind the cord and remove power plug from holder.
Remove your car's lighter from the lighter socket. Push the power plug into car's lighter socket or other power supply socket. Push on/off switch to start vacuum cleaner motor.
The directions say the following:
"To empty debris: Press down front piece release button to open body. Remove and discard debris inside front piece for next use." I have never had to do this because I never have collected enough debris to have to empty it out.
It wraps up easily during storage; you simply wrap the cord around the vacuum cleaner and rest the power plug into the receptacle end to protect against banging it around.
