PRICES
Radioshack is a brand name, and with brand name labels, comes high prices. I would really never buy any product from Radioshack again unless I couldn't find it anywhere else. The bottom line is, the prices are too high! If you just do your homework and search around other places, you could find the same product you are looking for at a much lower price.
PRODUCTS
Most products, especially the ones in the brick and mortar store, are often higher quality than the average home-use consumer would require. Buying a golden tipped cable to extend your current headphone cable is like throwing money away. Any electrician will tell you, unless you're gonna send heavy duty amps through the cable and stress it alot, you're not gonna need anything fancy. If I used a radioshack golden svideo male to RCA male cable to put my computer display on a television, there would be no visable difference if I had used a regular off brand all copper cable.
SERVICE
Radioshack has made long strides in the past decade, but I still feel that unless you are buying a toy or just window shopping, you better know what you are talking about, and know exactly what you need. The service is for techies, period. And the problem with this is, half of the people they hire arent techies. If you have a question about a product, 50% of the time you will have to wait for the person on the other end to flip through a couple technical manuals for the correct answer.
