| meleahk's Full Review: Dawn Power Dish Brush |
A while back when the Dawn® Dish Brush came out I looked at them and since they were priced at around 8 dollars I passed. I figured I didnt need a brush that spun around for that kind of money. I have often looked for a coupon to get one cheaper but have not found one. And I have often looked for them at a lower price but was unable to find it. So I pretty much forgot about them because I refused to pay that much.
While in Texas at my daughters home recently I found that she had one and so I tried it and liked it. It was great in cleaning out the grandbabies cups. So, I thought that if I could find one cheap like she had then I would buy me one. She had paid 6 dollars for hers at her local Wal Mart. So, off to Wal Mart we went and sure enough, they had them for 5.46 and so I bought one. I was not able to try my own until we got home. I like it a lot. I have used it a lot in the kitchen and I have found that it works well in and around the tub and shower and other places.
The Product
Dawn® Dish Brush is a slim, fit to the hand cleaning tool that you can use to clean your dishes with. Clean down insides glasses with and hard, baked on food stains on various pots and pans.
As I mentioned above it can also be used in the bathroom for cleaning around the shower and tub, especially around the faucets. I have found that the dirt and grime that gets caught around that area came up really well and left a nice, clean area around the faucets. I was impressed. The same for the faucets in the kitchen.
It has stiff bristles just underneath the head of the brush that spin around quickly and evenly and they clean well. And at the bottom of the stiff bristles you will find softer bristles that help to remove the food or other dirt and grime with no problems. At the very top of the Power Ring you will find narrow bristles that really come in handy for those tough to reach spots.
With my grandbabies cups I was able to clean the drinking spouts of the lids with no problems, cleaning out any milk or other beverages. In fact, all three types of bristles work together to create an easy way of cleaning, which makes my life easier.
The unit is white in color with a blue turn on/off button in the center. The bristles are blue and white. The unit is curved to fit the hand better and make it easier to use. You will find Dawn® written in blue on the middle, front, right above the on/off button.
You should not force the unit into glasses or areas that are smaller than the tip or the brush.
Certainly, you should keep out of reach of children
To Operate
This is a very simple procedure. You simply put dish soap on the item you are going to clean, press the power button, which is found on the front handle of the unit, (it is blue and easy to see) and the unit spins the surface clean. Rinse and put into your dish drain.
To use in the bathroom, use the same way except use your bathroom cleaner instead. I also found that I could use the brush around the inside, top of my washing machine after spraying with a cleaner. Makes the washer look much nicer. Also, inside the dishwasher where the dirt really gets!
You can and will need to replace the Power Ring® over time and you can buy those replacement heads for around 3 dollars. You simply pull the old one off and snap the new one on. That simple.
The unit holds 4 AA batteries, which come with the unit when you buy it. Alkaline are recommended. You should not mix the batteries either. For example, alkaline with non-alkaline or standard or re-chargeable batteries.
You slide open the battery compartment to replace the batteries and insert the new batteries according to the diagram given..

How I Feel
Well, like I stated earlier I wanted one of these but would not pay the price first asked. Over time, the unit has come down in price at some locations. I kept looking in my local Dollar Store for it but could never find it there. I was so glad that I was able to pay the price I did and have been happy with it.
I was impressed that I could clean so much with the Dawn® Power Dish Brush®! Bathroom, laundry area and kitchen. This brush is versatile to say the least.
I like being able to use it as much as I have been and the results have been great so far. The unit is not too heavy to hold either. And, it looks nice sitting on the counter. The base of the unit provides an easy to stand position because it is just wide enough to sit evenly on the counter.
I tried the on/off button on several different ones until I found one that seemed to have stronger batteries in it before buying. I certainly didnt want to buy it and then the batteries go out on me too soon. So, I suggest that all who are interested in buying this to try out several for strong batteries.
So far I have been greatly satisfied with my Dawn® Power Dish Brush.
I hope that this has helped in some kind of way.
God Bless

I should note that I bought a second head so I could use it in the bathroom.
