Pros: Great for removing marks and dirt that you thought were impossible to get rid of.
Cons: They don't hold up under use as long as a person would like.
The Bottom Line: I recommend these for special cleaning jobs. They are handy in the house and outside, too! There truly is Magic in these Erasers.

| lorace's Full Review: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser |
I must be the only one here who did not receive a coupon or a sample for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. But thats all right for I read about it on Epinions.Com and I was convinced that I wanted some. Right away!
What is it?
Look for an attractive blue, white and red package about 5-˝ inches square, sporting the famous picture of Mr. Clean, Mr. Brawny, with his arms crossed. And youve found the Magic Erasers.
They come in a 2 pack comprised of 2 white eraser-looking objects about 2 ˝ x almost 5 inches in size and costing around $1.29 for the package..
They are very, very light weight and remind me of pieces of Styrofoam.
What do they do?
Well, theyre Magic, you know. These little erasers will get dirt out of places in your home that you had long given up trying to clean. You know, those crayon marks, or those black scuff marks on the floor, or those stained baseboards.
You name it, Mr. Clean says they will do a job for you.
How do you use them?
Very simply. Merely wet one, squeeze out the excess water, and start rubbing. It is quite amazing, actually.
After awhile, after quite a few jobs, youll find the eraser is starting to crumble, but youll stick with it to the bitter end. Then merely throw away whats left of it, and reach for the 2nd eraser.
What could be easier? Dont worry, youll know when its time to discard one because they become unrecognizable.
What did you use the Eraser for?
I think I reacted to the newness of it all by running helter-skelter around the house and dabbing here and there with my first eraser. I kept emitting joyous yelps and hubby had to run in to see what was going on.
I erased the low marks on the dining room wall where my dog loves to lie down and watch whats going on. They came off beautifully and easily.
I cleaned the doors on our two refrigerators and they glistened.
I did all the light plates and switches throughout the house. Its amazing how soiled they can get from our clean hands!
I even tackled a few scuffmarks on the tile floors and Mr. Clean has told the truth. They do come off with hardly any effort at all.
Kitchen counters, stovetop, can opener, coffee maker, you name it, I was there with the Magic Eraser and loving every minute of it.
Is there anything they wont do?
Yes. If you read the box (and I hope that you ALWAYS read instructions on any product) youll find that you shouldnt use them on polished/glossy surfaces or on brushed, satin, or dark surfaces.
While they dont scratch at all, they are powerful and I imagine theyd take the finishes off of those surfaces.
How about their Composition?
Like I said before, they are very light to hold. They feel almost like those packing bubbles we use, all molded together.
They have no odor, nor any visible residue exuding from them. No suds, no strange colors, nothing that an allergy-prone person like myself would react to.
Nothing is mentioned on the box about any ingredients contained within the Magic Erasers. I guess thats what makes them magic.
Are you sold on them?
I think I can safely equivocate with a yes and a no.
I was disappointed to find how short the lifespan of a magic eraser is. Youll find youre going great on a job and they start crumbling and then, yuk. Youve almost got a handful of powder.
I reasoned with myself when doing the light switch plates that although these things do a great job of cleaning them, so did my previous method with a rag and a bottle of cleaning liquid.
So that constitutes my negative reaction to these Magic Erasers.
However, hold on a second. I did find something that I felt was really remarkable about them.
The famous shower door!
No matter what Ive used, or how hard Ive scrubbed, Ive never been able to achieve the glistening, shiny-clean shower door that I now have since trying an Eraser on it.
The first rubdown I gave the door with a Mr.Clean Magic Eraser, stirred up a lot of soapy matter which I wiped down with a wet rag.
I tackled it once more with an Eraser, wiped it clean with a wet rag, and it sparkles. Really sparkles.
Then I looked inside the shower. White tile floor and chocolate brown wall tiles. Uh huh! In I went, worked a bit (and believe me, you dont have to work hard with these erasers) and came out grinning and just a little bit smug. It looked almost brand new!
For this reason alone, yes, I will continue to have a supply of these Magic Erasers on hand.
I will use them for jobs that are difficult to do with other products.
I doubt that Ill get carried away all through the house with them, but they are sure nice to have when dirt fights you back!
I've found that these erasers will last through a pretty thorough general housecleaning. Then the next time I'd use it, it would do only a few small jobs before it would disintegrate. The shower door and shower were done with a new Eraser, leaving it unfit for any future usage. I'd say one would last about 3 days - but each person's usage differs.
I feel my Yes far overshadows my No! These neat little erasers will always have a place in my home.
Thanks for reading my Review. Ive enjoyed telling you about this product.
