| robert_edwards's Full Review: Motorola StarTAC ST7760 CDMA / AMPS Cellular Phone |
I must confess I left my first StarTac several years ago. I was still in my digital youth and craved like the worst crack addict, the "latest and greatest." Every feature, promised feature, and 'sort of' works feature (Samsung's Voice Recognition Technology).
I gave up on my impeccable StarTac, and went to the following (in no particular order):
Sony ??? with the thumb-roller. Best feature on a phone that literally blows into a million pieces at the mildest bounce, the shortest bounce .... Samsung (mentioned earlier... although I had to chuckle at my partner who had resorted to taping his Samsung to its base (obvious defect in the recharging stand).
Truly, the StarTac, despite it's incredibly small size, FEELS stronger, better designed, with remarkable battery life.
No doubt if you take a look down the lounges at America's largest airports, you will find more StarTacs, and there is a reason why -- and that reason is why I returned and bought the dual band StarTac.
