... for both of the nice comments!
I built a couple of PCs over the years, nad, and have always had motherboard problems. Invariably, the first motherboard I installed was defective and sometimes required a lot of troubleshooting to isolate the problem to the motherboard. All this installation, troubleshooting, re-installation and testing is done under the watchful eye of a spouse who makes sure I remember each problem.
With the price of a powerful computer as cheap as it is today and the ability to customize it straight from the manufacturer, I found it best to just buy the durn thing ready to run. Saved a lot of aggravation, even if I missed the challenge.

We actually sold those at Best Buy! The 5300NX took it's place. There are now the S5000NX, S5100NX, S5200NX, and the S5300NX. I don't remember all the specs, however.
Those machines don't offer a lot of gimicky extras like the HPs (same company now), but they do offer a lot of value if you know where to shop. Sometimes it makes me wonder if it is worth building my own anymore (for machines that are just used for everyday chores).
Of course, they will never replace a well-made customized power house. :)
