| gcdude33612's Full Review: Nintendo GameCube Controller for GameCube, Game Bo... |
My mom bought me a Wavebird last Christmas. I was a bit skeptical at first since I had played on other wireless controllers before and they didnt work to well. Also i thought the batteries would run out quickly. That day I went to my Gamecube and put the Wavebird in. I was amazed at how well it worked and how far it could reach(30 feet). It obeyed the slightest touch, felt really comfortable in your hands, and since it didnt have a wire it wasnt weighed down at all.
The Wavebird is a wireless controller for the Nintendo Gamecube, the latest Nintendo console. It is the only wireless controller I have ever had that I liked. It is the exact same as any other controller except it doesnt have a wire.
This has multiple pros to it such as if you are really into the game and you are moving in the chair and moving the controller it cant come out of the console like a controller with a wire can (come on we all get into some games and cant sit still). Also, if you have a pet it cant chew through the wire, which happens sometimes. Another pro is that if you have a lot of systems and you have all the controllers for them out they can get really tangled and it takes a while to get them untangled (trust me Ive done it many times). You can also leave the controller on a table next to a couch instead of having to get up to get the controller. Im trying to think of a con and the only one I can think of is you might lose the receiver that you plug into the Gamecube or the controller, but that would be hard to do.
So lets recap, a wireless controller for Gamecube that works just as well as any other controller and is less likely to brake (because the wire can break, be chewed, etc.) and is more convenient and only for a little more money. Oh, and did I mention my batteries haven't run out after almost a year. Definitely worth the price of 30 bucks even though it sounds a little steep.
