verbatim's Full Review: Zone Alarm

Zone Alarm is a very good free firewall product made by Zone Labs. I like being able to know when someone is trying to scan or break into my computer, and this helps me know and stop it. Whenever a suspected attack occurs, a box pops up (if set to do so) and alerts you of it. You can of course turn this off, and you can log all suspected attacks to a file for later review. I also like this program because I know what is accessing the internet at any given time. This helps keep some spyware out of my computer. When running Zone Alarm, you must verify that you want a program to access the internet before it can. You can set it to let it to just at this time or always or never. Although this isn't the complete hacker defense, it is a very good piece of software.
